Description Selinus, Sicil., AR Tetradrachm, wt. 265 grs. (B.C 466-415), SElINONTION, River-god Selinos standing to left, holding phiale and lustral branch sacrificing at altar of Asklepios in front of which is a cock, to right altar of Poseidon surmounted by figure of a bull, and above it leaf of wild celery; R Apollo and Artemis in slow quadriga to right, Apollo discharging a bow, a corn grain in exergue, a very fine coin of late transitional period in desirable condition
