Description Tetradrachm, signed by the master engraver Eucleidas, about 405. AR 17.34 g. Fast quadriga l., the driver holds the reins with his l. hand, kentron with his r. hand; he is crowned by Nike flying r.; in exergue, two dolphins swimming to meet each other. Rev. SURA[KOSIOS] Head of Arethusa l., wearing ampyx and sphendone; on the sphendone, signature EUKLEI; around four dolphins. Tudeer 27, 39d (this specimen, rev. ill. on pl. 2, 13). SNG ANS 39 (these dies). Jameson I, 173, 803 (this specimen). Rare. Good style. Short flan. Almost extremely fine
