Description Stater (Silver, 7.94 g 9), 380-375/370. Nude ephebe holding shield in his left hand and reins of horse in his right, on horse galloping to left, his body turned to his left with his right knee on the horse’s back and his left leg straight down; below horse’s belly, . Rev. Phalanthos, nude, riding on dolphin to left, his right hand out stretched; below, . FB 494 a (this coin, illustrated on pl. 28). HN III 876. Vlasto 428. Attractively toned and with a wonderful obverse. Die break and graffito () on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine. From the collections of R. Maly and V.M. Brand, 3, Sotheby Zurich, 9 June 1983, 6, ex Hirsch XXXIII, 17 November 1913, 49 and from the collection of M. Duruflé, Rollin and Feuardent, 9 May 1910, 53.
