Description Tetradrachm (Silver, 17.52 g 8), c. 480. Bearded rider, nude but for helmet, on horse galloping to right, hurling spear from his raised right hand. Rev. Man-headed bull galloping to right. Basel 281 var. Jenkins Group I, 102. 2 (this coin). SNG Lloyd 950. Extremely rare, the second example known. Attractively toned. Some minor scratches, otherwise, extremely fine. From the collection of C. Gillet, 407, ex Ars Classica XVII, 3 October 1934, 146, from the collection of S. Pozzi, Naville I, 14 March 1921, 432, and ex Egger XXXIX, 15 January 1912, 71.
