Description . Circa 440/35-420/16 BC. AR Didrachm (20mm, 8.64 g, 10h). Hound standing left / Head of the nymph Segesta right, hair in wide band. Hurter, Didrachmenprägung 118a (V36/R64 – this coin, illustrated); SNG ANS 623 (same obv. die). Near VF, toned, struck from worn dies. Well centered. From the Robert and Julius Diez Collection. Ex Baron Friedrich von Schennis Collection (J. Hirsch XXXIII, 17 November 1913), lot 414.
