Description Circa 475/0-455/0 BC. AR Didrachm (21mm, 7.87 g, 5h). Hound at bay right / Head of the nymph Segesta right, wearing tainia, within incuse circle. Hurter, Didrachmenprägung 48h (V15/R26 – this coin); SNG ANS –; Traité I 2349, pl. LXXIX, 13 (same dies). VF, toned, some roughness, small pit on hind of hound, ,a few cleaning scratches under the tone. From the Robert and Julius Diez Collection. Ex Gustav Philipsen Collection (Part I, J. Hirsch XV, 28 May 1906), lot 1101.
