Description Himera. Circa 440-430/25 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 16.79 g, 9h). The nymph Himera driving quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer; in exergue, cock left / Himera standing facing, head left, holding patera over altar to left; barley grain to upper right; to right, satyr bathing in fountain with lion-headed spout. Arnold-Biucci, Monetazione 15 (Q4/H12); Gutmann-Schwabacher 10; Rizzo pl. XXI, 12 (same dies); SNG ANS –; SNG Ashmolean 1765 (same dies). Near VF, toned, some roughness.
