Description Agathokles. 317-289 BC. Æ Hemilitron (23mm, 10.62 g, 5h). Struck circa 317-310 BC. Wreathed head of Kore left; vase behind / Bull butting left; above, dolphin left above retrograde NK monogram; in exergue, dolphin left. Cf. Holloway, Bronze pl. 7, 1; BAR Issue 8; CNS 96 Ds 114 R 14 var. (monogram not retrograde); cf. SNG ANS 567; SNG Lloyd 1483 var. (same). Near VF, dark green-brown patina. Apparently an unpublished variety. From the Robert and Julius Diez Collection. Ex Gustav Philipsen Collection (Part I, J. Hirsch XV, 28 May 1906), lot 1236.
