Description Second Democracy. 466-405 BC. AR Hemidrachm (17mm, 1.91 g, 12h). Struck circa 413-405 BC. Charioteer driving fast quadriga right; above, Nike flying left, crowning charioteer; in exergue, two dolphins confronted / Head of Arethusa right, hair in sphendone; two dolphins around. SNG ANS 305 var. (E between dolphins); SNG Lloyd 1376–7. Near VF, toned, slightly irregular flan. From the Robert and Julius Diez Collection. Ex Gustav Philipsen Collection (Part I, J. Hirsch XV, 28 May 1906), lot 1179.
