Description Second Democracy. 466-405 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23mm, 17.26 g, 7h). Struck circa 413-405 BC. Charioteer driving fast quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer; below horses, bird standing left; in exergue, fish left, chased by dolphin / Head of Arethusa right, hair in crossed bands; four dolphins around. Tudeer 16 (V7/R10); SNG ANS 255 (same obv. die); McClean 2705 (same dies). VF, toned, tiny nick in field on obverse. From the Robert and Julius Diez Collection. Ex Baron Friedrich von Schennis Collection (J. Hirsch XXXIII, 17 November 1913), lot 459.
